Free Food bags

Free Grocery bags were provided to the needy in families, individuals and international students during the Covid-19 Pandemic​

Covid-19 vaccine programme 

​Financial help was provided to international students during the pandemic
Deliveries of groceries and medications was also provided during the pandemic 
With the Ministry for Ethnic communites help was provided to people for receiving the Covid-19 vaccination such as transport and information meetings about the vaccine and boosters

computer classes 

Free computer classes was organised by the trust to increase the knowledge of ethnic womens about computers

Folk Bhangra classes for womens 

Basic Bhangra lessons were provided for the fitness of womens. The classes were a great sucess in the community and were held for three months. However a new modern twist of the classes have been started

Diwali Gala Dinner 

​A Diwali Celebration was organised dedicated to the Diwali festival where various fun activities and performances took place, free food was also provided.

Christmas Celebration 

A Christmas Celebration was organised dedicated to Christmas, in this celebration, many fun activities were organised for kids relating to Christmas and free food was given out to everyone. A Santa was the highlight of the celebration!

Lohri Celebration 

A Lohri Celebration was organised dedicated to the Lohri festival, many fun activities and games were provided to people who attended and so was free food.

Holi Celebration

A Holi Celebration was organised dedicated to the Indian Holi Festival, fun activities with a retro theme were held. Free food was also provided. 

International Womens Day Celebration

A International Womens day Celebration was organised to dedicated to international women's day which was on the 8th of March, fun activities, free food and advice on beauty, food tips and inspirational stories were given by a professional.

vaisakhi celebration

A Vaisakhi celebration was organised dedicated to the Vaisakhi celebrations, fun activities were organised for all ladies present adn free food was also provided. Open DJ with music was also present 

Celebrating Mothers day at a resthome

The Womens Helping Hand Trust celebrated Mothers Day at rest home where koha was shared with the Rest Home residents. Activities were also done with Rest Home participants. 

Teej Festival

The Teej Celebration was organised to all dedicated to Women's and was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal, over 100 people attended and free ethnic Indian food was provided for all. Fun activities were also organised for everyone!

Karwachauth

The Karwachuath festival was celebrated on the 28th of October, this event is organised to celebrate the Hindu lunar month of Kartika. This celebration, had free Indian street food, games and activities for all to enjoy

Selwyn Teeyan

Mothers Day Celebration

The  Mother's Day Celebration was held on the 5th of May, many fun activities were present and heart touching stories of mothers were also shared. Free Dinner was also provided. 

Health and Wellness Workshops

We organised Health and Wellness Workshops and was done by a professional.
